DAY ONE HUNDRED FIFTY OF THE HAPPINESS PROJECT

Day 150.  One hundred and fifty days of Happiness.

I bought a lava lamp and I am in love with it.  I always wanted a lava lamp as a kid.  They were all the rage but I never got one.  It was too frivolous an expense.  Now that I am an adult I wanted one and I got one.  It is fun to put it on when I am laying in bed and just watch it.  I think I need to put some Jimi Hendrix music on next time. Or The Who, The Doors, The Jefferson Airplane, Janis Joplin, Santana or Cream.

I saw my nutritionist today.  He is really happy I have been so successful at keeping my weight down.  He said the hardest part for most people is not losing weight it is keeping it off.  I have been quite successful at keeping the weight off.  We talked about recipes I can make that I would like.

I am thinking of riding in a bike event in July to raise money for arthritis research.  It is 26 miles and I have never ridden that far so I am nervous.  I also have no way to get my bike to the event.  So I have some kinks to work out but I think it would be fun.  If you have been reading for a long time, you will remember two years ago I was supposed to ride a 12 mile bike ride but I ended up getting RSD (Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome) and could not ride my bike (or drive) for months.  Then in November of 2014 I had my bike accident and I have not gotten back on my bike.  I think I will start on my stationary bike.  Build up my muscles while it is raining and cold.

Until tomorrow...

  1. Hi, Adrienne! I've been quiet, but here, and so happy for you as you experience your Happiness Project. You're doing so well! I think planning and training for that bike ride is a wonderful idea. Nothing but benefits for as far as the eye can see, even if you don't get to do the ride itself.

By the way, your tenacity awes me. You've taken such positive steps over the last six months! You go, girl! 😀
