I had another day of PT today. He is working on my shoulder. My shoulder hurts so much.
Instead of my meditation class today I decided to do my own thing.
It was a boring day!
Until tomorrow...
A blog about my life with rheumatoid arthritis and all that goes along with it. The ups and downs. The highs and lows. The laughter and the tears. Sounds so dramatic, doesn't it?!

Big news! For you regular readers, the complaint against me from a neighbor to the city, has been closed. It was decided that I did not need a permit. I sent the complainant a very nice email (since the city did not redact the email) thanking them for watching out for the neighborhood, telling him the complaint had no merit and maybe next time, come and talk to me first. All very nice. And thank you, neighbor!
I have been sore for two days. I sort of tripped on the stairs over the weekend. I landed on my knees and my ankle hurt the first day now my thigh hurts. I think I strained something. I am sure it will be all better tomorrow. Doing qi gong on Monday did not help. It requires more stretching than tai chi.
I had a meeting about my ex-foster kid today and gained a bunch of knowledge about housing after a foster kid turns 18 years old.
My meditation group had another mishap tonight. Last night I had a post office delivery and an Amazon delivery AND I forgot to put my phone on DND and my foster kid texted me. All sorts of doorbells, pinging of the phone and dog barking is not relaxing. Then tonight, no one attended but me, because the one person who was going to come had the wrong Zoom link. By the time we figured it out, she decided to skip tonight. I sent out a new zoom link to everyone. Meanwhile I had a very relaxing 30 minute meditation by myself!
Until tomorrow...
I can't believe it was another beautiful day. I ate in the garden again. I finished my book club book. So, I cheated and watched the movie made from the book. It is an Agatha Christie novel. I know I was a little sleepy when I watched the movie, but I swear the ending in the movie did not match the ending in the book. I may have to watch the end of the movie again. It is the book "And then there were none". I quite enjoyed both the movie and book.
I took Lucky for another long walk and she walked all the way on the down incline. She did really well and then I put her in the stroller to come back up. Then she fell asleep.
I spent part of the day invoicing my clients. The worst job and I hate it. Yes, I like the money but the invoicing is blech.
Until tomorrow...
What a beautiful morning it was today. I sat outside in my garden and read my book. I had my breakfast.
I have been wanting to take longer walks but Lucky, my dog, can no longer walk uphill. Since we live on an incline, it is hard for her. Today I took out a dog stroller that I bought for my previous dog. I had us walk downhill until she looked tired and then I put her in the stroller. At first she would not sit down but she got used to it. Now, I can walk longer distances and bring the little dog with me!
I am not sure if she thinks this is a prison or a limo. It is certainly going to allow me to get more exercise pushing a 14 pound dog uphill.
Until tomorrow...
I started my DVD photography course today. I was given this course years ago and I never had the time to watch it. I decided to start this week. I want to be able to take gorgeous photos in my future trips.
I want to take the second course also but it is $200 right now. I hope it will go on sale.
I had another meditation segment with "the girls". I am in charge of choosing the guided meditation and tonight's was a bust. The person talking through the meditation giving affirmations was quite loud and had music that was sort of aggressive. We took this guided meditation out of the circuit. A guided meditation is when a person talks you through the meditation. Sometimes it is a person telling you to relax parts of your body and other times it is someone verbally taking you for a walk on the beach or through a garden. It is all supposed to be relaxing but today's meditation was fast paced and stress inducing.
Until tomorrow...
I am going to be doing a few road trips in the future. I always worry about my Orencia when I am traveling. When I go on planes, I have this little handy pack that has a frozen ice pack. But when I am in my car, it is harder to keep the medicine cold. Once I put it in the trunk and got caught in traffic. By the time I got to my destination, the medication was warm. I frantically called the helpline and checked to make sure I could still inject it. I was lucky that my injection day was 24 hours later and I could keep it room temperature and inject it the next day.
So, I bought a car refrigerator. It looks like a cooler but it plugs in to a car lighter or a regular plug. I was skeptical at first but I tried it for a few hours and sure enough it gets cold. It isn't exactly refrigerator cold but cold enough. Plus, I read somewhere that it gets chills faster and gets more cold if you put an frozen ice pack inside.
I am going to try it out soon and will report back.
Until tomorrow...
