I think it was a good compromise.

NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH
I had my neighborhood watch meeting tonight. It went better than I thought. I floated having two committees rather than one. Some folks are more interested in fun/community building and I am more interested in safety. So now I am in charge of safety. My first meeting is disaster preparedness.

Pass out bombs at your next meeting to help others understand there are buts who live among you. Then leave. The need for safety will be reinforced and best of all you will not need to go back ever again.
