HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY & DAY ONE HUNDRED FOURTEEN OF COOKING COURSE

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there!  I had a good day with my fur baby.  She is so cute and loving.

We did some more weeding in the backyard.  We made some more progress.  It is slow but it is getting done.

I made Sprouted and Fermented Tempeh Sweet Potato Bowl.  It was different and colorful.  I liked it but not like I like pizza and ice cream.  It had avocado, sprouts, spinach, beets, tempeh and sweet potato. Then a dressing that was pretty good.

Until tomorrow...

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

Today was my first Mother's Day with a child.  I won't say it was all unicorns and rainbows but it was nice.  After a visit from the social worker and a quick trip to the supermarket (I had to make pancakes with juice instead of cashew milk because we ran out of milk the way my mother made them for me when I was little) to buy some much needed food.

A lady from the carnival yesterday sent me a text wishing me a Happy Mother's Day and asked when our kids can get together.  Yippee!

Then we ate some lunch and went to a science museum.  It is really cool.  It turns out the kid had been there before and knew where everything was located.  We saw a rainforest with butterflies and birds, a bunch of penguins, an albino alligator, tanks and tanks of fish and a movie about the state of nature and climate change shown in a planetarium.  In all it was a nice day.

I received a lovely Mother's Day card and a big hug.

Happy Mother's Day!

Until tomorrow...

Was it a Happy Mother's Day?

Today was Mother's Day and it was a clear, sunny day. I am a mother to two small dogs.  I would have loved to take them out for a nice walk at Sunday Streets in San Francisco.  But today was not the best day.  It was one of those days where I can't manage to get off the couch for the first half of the day.  Then I suddenly woke up while watching a show I was waiting to see.  Of course I missed the first half of it and now I will never know why the guy was arrested.  Did he really murder the woman?  It will be a mystery to me.  Then I took a nice long bath and went to watch The King's Speech and fell asleep again.  What a day!  But if you have RA, you know these are the days that happen.  They aren't fun but seem to be necessary to rejuvenate for the coming week.  Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers.
