HEARD FROM LUCKYS VET

This morning I got a call from Lucky's vet. She said all the labs but one came back great. One lab that they expected came back high. It was protein in her urine. There are two tests and this was the lesser one. Since she takes steroids she shows high on the lesser test.

The X-rays have not come back yet. But we decided that doing an ultrasound on her tummy is probably a good idea. It would be checking for two things: her kidneys and her stomach. We also discussed changing her food. She is on special food because of her tummy issues but I was sent two cases of the wrong brand of the special food about 6 months ago. The vet thought I should try feeding her that food and see if she eats it.

Well, she ate the food alright and asked for more. This is the first time she ate that much in days.

I gave her the painkiller tonight and she is out!

I got a phone call this afternoon and I have a date for the installation of the fence! Can you believe it!?!? It is being installed on this Friday. It is going to be a crazy couple of days. Tomorrow dog ultrasound, Friday fence, Saturday COVID test, Tuesday endoscopy.

I need to get some sleep and get ready to make my COVID appointment.

Until tomorrow...

WE WENT TO THE VET THIS MORNING

I woke up right at 7 am and called and got an appointment at 11 am. We were there right on time and I got a free parking space! The parking gods were looking out for us.

They looked her over and couldn't find anything obvious. Then I asked them to run blood work and x-ray her back, legs and hips. To do that they had to sedate her so that took about an hour. I had such a good parking spot I decided to stay put. I was outside on a bench on a busy street enjoying the fresh air. I people watched and talked to a few people on the phone. The time flew by.

They are pretty sure Lucky has some pain in her hips/legs but the initial x-rays do not show anything. They are being sent to a radiologist (wouldn't that be a fun job - radiologist to the dogs) to see if there is anything they are missing. Then there is the blood work to see if anything funky is going on there.

She is still coming down from the anesthesia and is not happy. She hates anesthesia. She is particularly sensitive to any drug. Years ago I let someone convince me to put her on anti-anxiety meds and they almost killed her. Now I am really careful about how she reacts to meds. If a bottle says to give her 1-5 mg I give her 1mg. It is usually enough.

Long story short now we wait to see what the tests say. But I have medicine to give her.

I did get a text that the fence is all here and I should be getting a call tomorrow. I will not hold my breath. I also called the landscaper to make a plan.

Until tomorrow...

I CALLED THE VET

Lucky has been a bit lethargic. She has not been excited to see me when I leave and come home, she sleeps a lot, she doesn't want to go with the dog walker. I am concerned. Once I get her outside she walks as fast as usual. I spoke to the vet today and they want me to bring her in. They think she is in pain. Because she is on steroids I can't give her a basic pain med so I took her off the steroids.

Tonight she seemed a bit like her old self and wanted to play for a few minutes. I kept her home from the dog walker and made her rest. I called the Vet and made an appointment for next week but they said call in the morning and see if they had a cancellation.

The fence pieces have all arrived locally so the fence is moving along. Slowly...

I contacted the landscaper and moved that along.

I had my third physical therapy appointment today. I found out interesting information: people who have Sjogren's have a higher rate of urinary issues. Sjogren's goes hand and hand with RA. So that was interesting new I was unprepared for.

Until tomorrow...

STILL WORRYING ABOUT LUCKY

Another day of worrying about Lucky. She didn't want to go for a walk and did not want to eat much and didn't want to play with her toys. I need to call the Vet in the morning.

I didn't do much but cater to Lucky all day. In and out all day. Carrying her up and down the stairs. Poor baby.

Until tomorrow...

STYMIED ABOUT LUCKY

Honestly, not much going on today and with me not feeling too good and Lucky having issues, I have been a little behind with everything. I kept Lucky home today and that meant she was under my feet all day. If this continues I am going to call the vet. She is just so lethargic and whiny. I just don't know what to do about it.

Until tomorrow...

NATIONAL DOG DAY 2022

I told my mentor that my client agreed to sign my contract.  He said he is glad we are friends and that he would be afraid to go up against me because he would lose. What a compliment!

I had my second coaching session where I am coaching someone in my field.  It went much better than the first session. The client was happy and can't wait for the third session. I am happy it is working out.

When my handyman was here the other day, I asked him to look at my new end table. He noticed that there was a crack on one leg. I wrote to the company with hopes that they would help me considering the 30 days was up the day before. They wrote back and asked me what pieces I needed replaced. Such good customer service. It must have broken in shipping. It is metal so I could not have done it. Another piece seems bent (that is what the handyman was looking at) so I am going to see if they will send me another.

It is National Dog Day so here is a dog picture.

She sees you and wants you to wish her a happy National Dog Day!

That is about all today. My RA is a bit better but I am nervous to say anything. I still have fatigue but my feet seem better.

Until tomorrow...

ARTHRITIS GROUP MEETING

Today had some good things happen.

1. My client agreed to my contract after a few weeks of being difficult. I have the gig for 6 more months.

2. I had a really good Arthritis Group meeting. We all just talked and got to know each other. It was fun to hangout with folks even over zoom.

3. My handyman fixed a few more things and my flag (which has been such a problem) is now fixed and doesn't make so much noise anymore.

So it has been a pretty good day. I also got a food delivery. I ordered some things to get ready for my endoscopy. I know it is a week away but those days go very quickly. Plus with the way stocks are at stores, you never know what will be available next week or next month.

I did buy one thing that I have been waiting for months to find. Vegan Babybel cheese. Yes! They make vegan Babybel cheese and I want to try it. I used to love Babybel cheese when I was young. It was too expensive for our family but as a treat I would get one every once in a while. I bought a bag of them. I can't wait to try one. I hear they are really good.

Until tomorrow...

THE DAY DID NOT GO AS PLANNED

Well, today did not go as planned. I had a list of things I wanted to do and then...my rheumatoid arthritis hit. I could barely get off the couch. I got up and fed the animals and myself. Then I fell asleep on the couch. I woke up a bit and then dozed again. I tried really hard to get up but that wasn't happening and finally I gave up trying. I had to do some work around 1pm and then I sat back down. I ended up having canned soup for dinner. I am sure tomorrow will be a better day. I guess my body needed to rest today.

Until tomorrow...

DAY TEN OF THE LANDSCAPING PROJECT

I met with the landscaper today. I had a lot of anxiety about this meeting. Would he be snobby and treat me like an idiot because I don't know anything about landscaping? Would he talk down to me? Well, I was pleasantly surprised. He was so down to earth. I stated right from the start that I don't know much so I needed him to give me ideas. He came up with some ideas and some that I liked. He also agreed that my backyard did not need enough work to fit his budget for work. He works on much larger projects. My backyard just needs a freshening up.

The idea is to make more seating space by covering up the pond. It is sad but ponds are a lot of work and they attract other animals. Instead I am going to put in a water feature so I get the water sound without the animals and fuss. That makes me happy. I am also going to get a raised planter to plant veggies. There will be flowering native and water tolerant plants. I am excited and can't wait to get this going.

I need to get a date for the fence because that has to happen first. I hear the fence in here but there are three rails that had to be sent separate and they are on their way and should be here in a few days. Let's get this moving!

Lucky and I took a walk and I made two loaves of zucchini bread. I used the same recipe as last time. I had a few zucchinis that needed to get used and zucchini bread seemed like the best way.

Until tomorrow...

VEGAN CHOCOLATE PRETZEL NUT SNACK

I woke up early today to attend my second physical therapy appointment. I spoke to the therapist about my last appointment. She did not get the email I sent (it must have gone into spam) so I brought a print out. She read it and we discussed. She felt badly that I was so uncomfortable last time. She also went over physical therapy exercises that I can do with my RA. These exercises are not on the floor.

I decided to try a snack I saw on TikTok. I took pretzels, chocolate chips, almonds, cashews, coconut flakes and pecans. I added some other stuff and laid it on a tray in the fridge. Now I have a chocolatey, nutty and crunchy snack!

I took care of some small tasks. I found out that the problem with my massage chair was not the chair at all. It was the remote control. I found that out when I took the remote control from the working chair and tried it on the chair that made noise. It worked perfectly. I called the company today and asked how I could get or buy a new remote. Why not?

I also organized my upcoming endoscopy. I called the special taxi service that they have. The cost for a one way trip is $50! A regular taxi ride to that location is about $12 tops. I contacted my neighbor and she is willing to pick me up again. I have offered baked goods or payment.

That was basically my day. Tying up loose ends.

Until tomorrow...

IT IS COLD OUTSIDE

The temperature has dropped here. It is so cold that my heat turned on. I turned it off and we are roughing it. I put on a sweat shirt. This weather is crazy. I watched the movie Geostorm today and it seems kind of like what is going on right now in the world. Floods, drought, weird storms, etc. Maybe the movie Geostorm is a warning of what is coming just like the movie Contagion was about a pandemic like Covid.

Today was a day of chatting on the phone with friends, sitting in the backyard reading a book, walking Lucky and not getting my work done. I did get a load of laundry completed.

I am trying to stay relaxed since this will be a big week.

Until tomorrow...

UPDATE ON THE NEIGHBORHOOD FIRE

Today was a day to catch up with the neighbors to find out what happened with the fire. Turns out it was not a fire on the roof of the building. It was the small building next door. They have a small green house type building behind and they have a barbecue in it. I guess they barbecued and forgot to turn the barbecue off and left for the night (or weekend) and a fire broke out. I think it burned the back of the big building. I amend my story: Do not barbecue on the roof of a building AND do not barbecue inside a building AND do not leave the barbecue on when you leave your home. All good rules to live by.

I waited around for the locksmith to fix one of the locks he installed. It worked but it was loose. When he arrived, my neighbor just coincidentally locked themselves out and he helped them first. It was an old lock and it took him an hour to get into their home. It wasn't the lock as much as it was the latch was old and the mechanism broke.  I have the same sort of latch but I don't use mine.

Lucky and I went on a walk while we were waiting. Then after the lock was adjusted, I sat outside for a bit and read my book. I am feeling very tired today.

I made a black olive pizza today.

It was super good.

Going to bed now.

Until tomorrow...

PROGRESS ON THE FENCE

There has been progress on the fence. I got a phone call from the fence company. I almost fainted. I have been passed the first step and the fence has been shipped to the area. Next week they are going to give me a date. The main guy told me secretly I originally had a date of this Monday. But because I had not passed the first step, they had to push the date back. My fence will only take one day so they can do it rather quickly.

I had my doctor's visit today with the ENT doctor. I researched what would happen before I went and I was not disappointed. I had a tube put down my nose. Even though it is numbed it is not pleasant. It actually hurt. (although I feel like I can breathe easier now!) He looked and did not see anything. He made me "he he he" over and over again. I guess that makes your throat do a certain thing. No cancer, polyps, or anything else. Good news.

Now the plan is that I have to get an endoscopy and go see a laryngologist. I need to get an endoscopy to see if the problems (chest pain/voice) are from reflux/heartburn. I am going to see a laryngologist to see if the voice problem is not connected to the chest pain. It seems that this is a more complicated issue than I thought. It may be that my long term use of prednisone could have effected my voice. We shall see.

I was making dinner when I heard a siren, then another, then another. I went outside and the apartment building across the street was on fire. Long story short seems that someone was barbecuing on the roof and it caught on fire. There were 10 fire trucks and 25 fire people.  It was madness. We all stood there. I tried in vain to reach my neighbor who lives next door to the apartment building. The fire was put out and everyone (including pets) are okay. I think some folks are sleeping in hotels tonight with smoke and water damage. Lesson: don't BBQ on the roof in a drought.

I finally got inside and was starved. I shelved the idea I had for dinner and made a quick stir fry.

I just have to show you this absolutely cut photo of Lucky.

It is her favorite book about dogs "Letters to my dog".

Until tomorrow...

VEGAN CHOCOLATE GANACHE PUDDING

I took the ganache that was leftover from the cake the other day and added more coconut milk. I put it in ramekins and put it in the fridge. I added a few jimmies and now I wait until it cools. It is a decadent dessert.

I waited all day for the call from the fence people. No call. I spoke to the main guy and he said he spoke to the owner. The materials have already shown up in Southern CA so this company better get it's act together. The main guy said he was on the phone with Plan B when the owner of the fencing company called to say it was moving forward. At this point it is important to say, I have not put out any money on this deal. So I don't feel like I am scammed. I can walk away if I need to. I have even been told that the main guy is coming to make sure it all goes to plan. He was going to come my way anyway and now he is making sure he comes the same day just to make sure this project happens. It turns out he used to be a project manager so he will check it all out for me. I think I will sweeten the deal with an offer of baked goods. Good idea??

Tomorrow is my appointment with the ENT doctor. I am a bit nervous. I had to fill out paperwork on the website and it had information about all sorts of conditions. The more I read the more nervous I got. Tomorrow is not coming fast enough for me.

Until tomorrow...

GOOD NEWS, BAD NEWS

This is a good news bad news situation. I got a phone call early today from the main fence guy telling me the fence company would be calling me today to set up a time for the guy to come out and put the flags. I got all happy that progress was happening. Here's the bad news: no phone call again.  I told the guy yesterday that I was nearing the end of my rope with this company. Today was the final straw. The guy told me he was working on finding me a plan B. So we may have to cancel this contract and go with a plan B.

Good new of the day is that I called the landscaper back and he is coming next week. I know it will be only a consult but let's see what happens. Just any progress at this rate!

Besides that I never got out of my pajamas today. I was waiting for the phone call from the fence people. I did not want to miss it. Then I took a bath after business hours.

I made a stir fry for dinner that was delicious using zucchini, red pepper, tofu and yellow squash.

Lucky is asleep right now. I hope she sleeps tonight. Last night she had a stuffy nose and was up late trying to fall asleep. I finally had to give her cough medicine to make her sleep. She does not like getting knocked out but imagine trying to sleep when your nose is stuffy and you only breath out of your nose. (dogs only breath out of their noses when they sleep curled in a ball) She was miserable and I was wide awake. I will sleep well tonight.

Until tomorrow...

VEGAN FUNFETTI CAKE

I woke up today and decided to bake a cake. I found a cake recipe in Real Simple that has no eggs and no butter. It is a vegan funfetti type cake. That is where you put jimmies in the cake. I had to scramble to get together enough jimmies to make the 3 tablespoons I needed. There are regular jimmies, Christmas jimmies and Valentine's day jimmies all mixed together. In the cake you can't tell since they get baked in the batter. I put chocolate ganache on top with more "jimmies" in flower shapes. The cake tastes delicious and is super moist.

It was a warm day so I had to put this cake in the refrigerator very fast so the ganache would set.

It was a day of the gas/electric guy coming by again to mark the place where the fence will be built. Once again the fence people have not marked the area so it was another wasted trip. Then I had a food delivery. I also had a phone call from a landscaper. It was a busy day.

Until tomorrow...

RICE PILAF WITH SAUTEED MUSHROOMS

Today I made rice pilaf with fresh shiitake mushrooms. It tastes really good. I made the pilaf and then mixed in the sauteed mushrooms. Yum!

It was just a day full of work and zooms. Lucky went to the park and is zonked out on the couch. She has been so happy with her new toy.

I put carrot pieces in the hidie holes and she has to open them and find them. She still hasn't figured out that the orange parts move in a circle so the long white parts can move back and forth. She is smart and she will figure it out eventually. It keeps her entertained which is the most important thing.

I am heading to bed. I am so tired but the soreness in my hands is not as bad today. That is a good thing.

Until tomorrow...

HANDS AND FEET STILL HURTING

Today was a relax day. I have so much pain in my hands and feet that I need as many resting days as I can get. I was supposed to get some work done but I just could not. Instead I watched the end of the Disney series Loki and I sat outside reading for a bit.

This extended flare has been really hard. I keep waiting for the Orencia to kick in.

I need to get some rest.

Until tomorrow...

VEGAN TOFU NUGGETS

I had to walk to the post office today. I really did not want to because my feet hurt so much but I needed to get my mail. Lucky and I walked down and back on this nice sunny day.

I sat outside and tried to read a book but I almost fell asleep so I came inside. Nothing worse than falling asleep in the sun and getting sunburned.

I decided to try a new recipe for Tofu Nuggets. They are a little spicy but you can make them as spicy as you want. They are baked instead of fried. They are really good. I ate them with the yellow squash casserole I made the other day.

Now I am off to watch Avengers Endgame.

Until tomorrow...

CHAIR SAGA PART DEUX #4 THE FINALE

I had court this morning for my ex-foster kid. It went well. It is now a hybrid. I was on zoom and he was in person.

My handyman came and did some work. First he put together my replacement chair. It works great! It became clear that the other chair was not put together correctly. The back was not put on correctly. He took the old chair apart to move it downstairs. When he put it back together I thought for one minute it would not make that noise but alas, it still made the noise. That's okay. I am using the chair downstairs as a secondary chair.  He also moved my big green chair into the garage. I need to donate it but I am exhausted by all this moving right now. It will sit for a while. I put all my back up TP and paper towel on it.

I made a vegan yellow squash casserole for dinner. It came out better than I expected. It has yellow squash, diced tomatoes, coconut milk, Italian bread crumbs and vegan cheese.

Until tomorrow...

TIME FOR CELEBRATION

This is day four and I have been excused from jury duty. I do not have to appear. They never called my number. The gods looked down on me.

A person with a Porsche parked part way into my driveway and all the way in my red zone. This has happened many times and many times I have "ticket and towed" the car. Today I decided to ticket the car. It maybe my new neighbors car and I don't want another neighbor upset with me. Although why they get upset with me, I don't understand. Who parks blocking someone's driveway without permission for hours and expects their car to be there when they return?

Not much else happened today other than the fence company called to say I was not forgotten and they would be calling next week. I guess there was some sort of admin snafu.

Until tomorrow...

NO JURY DUTY STREAK CONTINUES

My "no jury duty" streak has continued. I do not have jury duty again tomorrow. A number of groups were called in to serve jury duty but not my group. I don't think I will be so lucky on Friday. Although someone told me they don't like to start calling people in on Fridays. We shall see.

I contacted two landscapers after the landscaper I spoke to didn't return my call. Let's see if one of these gets back to me.

The fence update: I heard back from the boss and he spoke to someone and I am supposed to hear something. I did not today. I better tomorrow.

Other than all of this, I worked.

Lucky got a new toy today. I have been putting her carrots in toys to keep her busy since she is hungry. She needs to shrink her tummy. I will post a photo tomorrow. She hasn't quite mastered it yet which is good.

Until tomorrow...

NO JURY DUTY AGAIN 🤞

Lucky again. Still no jury duty tomorrow. I don't want to jinx it by getting too happy.

I called the head guy about the fence today. I feel like things are just a bit chaotic. He said he would call the company and sort it for me. I still don't have an install date. Yesterday at the crack of dawn my doorbell rang and it was the utilities man. He came to mark the ground where the fence will be dug for underground utilities. I was surprised because no one warned me this would be happening. I took the guys ID and called the fencing company rep to verify that he was who he said he was before I let him in. He couldn't do the marking because the fencing company had not marked where the fence was going to be put. Wasted trip.

Not much happened today.

Until tomorrow...

VEGAN EGG SCRAMBLE

I do not have jury duty tomorrow. Fingers crossed I don't have it on Wednesday too.

I am very stiff today. I tried to relax all day but I had to work.

I made a new thing for dinner: Vegan Egg Scramble made from a new product made from tofu. I added green beans, leftover zucchini and squash from the other night and corn off the cob. It was really good. I was so surprised. I always hated eggs so this was a nice surprise. I tried it because my neighbor gave it to me.

That is basically my whole day. I am working on feeling better but it seems to be going the other way. I think my stress is not helping.

Until tomorrow...

VEGAN ZUCCHINI BREAD

Another day of almost rest. I say almost because I started to do things after some rest. I finished the movie Ant Man and The Wasp. Then I decided to get something completed before I watch another movie.

I went downstairs and cleared out four boxes of clothes that have been in those boxes since I moved in my house over 15 years ago. It is easy to ignore some boxes when you stick them in a corner. I went through the boxes and threw out a bunch of stuff, made a large box of donation, put some things away and made a little box of items that I don't quite fit into. The boxes are gone! Then I moved a piece of furniture back to that location and moved the dog bed out from under the TV. Since I live in earthquake country, it is not good to have a dog bed under a TV. The room looks more balanced.

Of course I cleaned everything and then changed the bedding (since I opened the boxes on the bed) and aired out my comforter. When I cleaned out the boxes I found something that was lost years ago. My girlfriend lost their iPod years ago and it caused a big fight. I thought she washed it in the laundry and did not want to tell me or lost it outside of the house (she wasn't supposed to take it outside because she had already lost one). I was angry when she insisted I buy her another iPod. Instead I gave her my old iPod and bought myself a new one. Well, I laughed so hard when I found the iPod in a box of my clothes. I have no idea how it could have gotten in that box. I plugged it in and it still works!!

It reminded me of when I lost the back to my remote. I looked everywhere for that thing. I ended up having to buy a new remote. Years later I found it in a pair of shoes in the toe of the shoe. How it got that far from where the remote was kept, I have no idea. Things fly when you drop them.

I then took a shower and sat outside to read another coaching book.

After a bit outside, I came in and watched another movie: Avengers: Infinity War. I am now up to 22 movies completed.

I baked two vegan zucchini breads. I had a few zucchinis and thought it would be a good thing to bake. They came out really good.

After watching a little bit of a streaming concert I decided to go to bed. My hands are hurting a bit. This week is jury duty week but I didn't get called for Monday. Fingers crossed.

Until tomorrow...

NOT FEELING UP TO SNUFF TODAY

I didn't feel very good today so I spent the day watching movies. I watched the end of Black Widow, Black Panther and Thor: Ragnarok. I am trying to finish up the Marvel series before more are put out in the theaters. I am on #20 and it goes up to 36. So only 16 more to go. That includes the series Loki, WandaVision, What if?, Eternals, Hawkeye, and Moon Knight.

I do have to say that I am understanding it so much more now that I am viewing them in chronological order instead of how they came out in the movie theater. It is no wonder I was so confused. I used to go to the movies with friends who read the comic books as kids so they understood all of this. I would annoy them with questions. Then of course when a different person would play a character it also confused me.

I did spend a bit of time outside in the backyard reading a book on coaching. Okay I mostly skimmed it but it was a short, sort of fluff book on coaching. I read enough to get the point. I took some notes and got some vitamin D.

I did make a delicious dinner. I have a ton of zucchini and yellow squash. I cut them up and roasted them covered in olive oil and paprika. Then I made some brown rice. Then I made a sauce from coconut milk, some tomato paste, curry powder, cumin, and a small bit of turmeric. I put the roasted veggies over the rice and then put the sauce over the whole thing. It was fantastic.

I am going to lay back down. My RA is doing me in today.

Until tomorrow...

CHAIR SAGA PART DEUX #3

Yes, the chair boxes arrived today. No, the $40 trick did not work this time. The delivery guy was smaller than I was so he was not going to carry a heavy box. I think the delivery company should rethink who they have delivering large packages. I rolled the lighter package up my stairs (just like I did last time) so that is upstairs. The heavier box is downstairs. I will have to wait until my strong friend/handyman come by to get it upstairs.

I did get rid of a bit of the cardboard and packing in the trash this week. But now I have more. It will take me weeks to get rid of it all.

I had my first day of coaching today. I think it went really well considering. I don't think the person was clear on expectations and I don't think I quite understood what she wanted. I think we are clear now. I have some reading to do this weekend.

I checked and I do not have jury duty on Monday. I will have to check again each day for the following day.

My dog walkers daughter came with him today since it is her last week before school starts. She very quietly told me she liked the cookies I gave them earlier this week. Did I have more she wanted to know? I was so happy to get them out of the house. I gave her a whole little bag. She usually hates sweets but she liked these. She really likes Lucky.

Until tomorrow...

CHAIR SAGA PART DEUX #2

Well, no shock, the chair didn't arrive today. I will be on chair watch tomorrow.

A few weeks ago I decided to call a locksmith to enhance one of my doors. The bottom lock had been jimmied a while back and I worried that someone would try to break in the door. Another lock had glue in it from someone trying to mess with it. I called a locksmith today thinking the appointment would be in a week or so. Instead they came out late this afternoon. I had him look at three doors and we decided to enhance all the doors, add a couple of locks and replace a couple of locks. One lock had deteriorated from the weather and needed to be replaced but I didn't know it. I feel much safer now.

That was pretty much my whole day. I didn't get to eat a frozen meal until 8:30pm.

Until tomorrow...

EXHAUSTING DAY WITH NOT MUCH TO SHOW FOR IT

This was an exhausting day even though I can't really remember what I did. I washed dishes, talked to my cousin on the phone and worked. I made a doctor's appointment with an ENT (ear/nose/throat) doctor for the week after jury duty.

I signed the agreement for the fence. The agreement had a page asking for payment but I know from the construction on my house they are only legally allowed to ask for 10% in advance. I pointed that out and the response back was that I can pay it all at completion. I wonder how many people pay upfront because they don't know any better.

I got the notification that my new chair is arriving tomorrow. I will believe it when I see it. Excuse me for being sceptical after my last experience.

Until tomorrow...

DAY TEN OF THE LANDSCAPING PROJECT

Today I had a handyman come and he hung the lattice. It looks great. I am so happy with how it looks.
He also broke down the pallet the lattice came in. It took him longer than I thought it would.

He also extended my spicket so it comes through the lattice under the deck. I no longer have to climb under the deck to turn on the water! To celebrate I bought a new hose. I think I can let my 20 year old hose go to hose heaven.

I also had a contact reconnect with me and reach out to me to hire me. I was surprised. But I am now going to be an coach. Not a baseball coach but a coach in my field. I'm super excited. It could be a new niche.

Until tomorrow...

CHAIR SAGA PART DEUX

Well, I called about my massage chair today and the company is going to send me a new chair. I asked them what I should do with the old chair and they said to donate it or give it away. So now I need to figure out what to do with the old chair I have a couple of options. More on that later.

I decided today to make vegan cookies and cream ice cream. I've been having a little hankering for ice cream lately and I had some leftover Oreos so it made sense to make cookies and cream ice cream. It tastes delish.
well that's about all for today. It was rainy and overcast almost all day so not a day to be outside. Although Lucky did go to the park with the dog walker.

Until tomorrow...
