Got An IPad

I finally broke down and bought a tablet. I got an IPad 2. I wanted something easier to write on and something to use for cooking. I am putting my recipes online for easier access. It makes it easier to look up my recipes. It took me a little while to figure out how to insert photos on the blog.

It is easier to hold and it is much lighter than my laptop. I love it when cooking. I can have two recipes open at once. I can send a shopping list to my phone so I can stop at the store on my way home.

Overall, I am pleased so far. What do you use to write your blog?

  1. Good for you! I'd love to get an iPad, but it'll have to wait awhile longer. In the meantime, I've got a Kindle Fire (love it!) and just got my first smart phone (love that, too!)

I use my laptop computer to write my blog--and any other writing I do. And I use it for saving and displaying online recipes, too. I just have to be careful not to smudge the screen or keyboard with whatever I'm cooking... ;o)

  2. My Mac laptop...about two years old. I was a devote pc lover until viruses kept creeping into our old clunker and no updated virus programs would keep them all out. I have not had one problem with viruses. I will say the picture program on the mac is taking me some time to get use to...ie- saving pics for pc users requires several additional steps that I can't figure out why they are needed. And I have to keep cheat sheets (so to say) as I often forget how I did something and then several months later I want to repeat that process again. I hear that the ipads are fantastic. All my nieces and nephews have them and swear by them. My only concern would be protecting the face of the ipad as I have kitties that love to share my laptop and sleep on mine. I guess they think it is a great heating pad for them :-)

  3. Wren, I was torn between the Kindle Fire and the Ipad. I finally went with the Ipad because of size. I could not imagine typing on the Fire. It is so small. I love my smart phone, I have had one for years for business. I have to "unconnect" as they say, because I am too connected! You might find the Fire and Ipad are redundant. I would suggest using someone's first before you make the decision. I should have asked my blogging friends before I made the decision!!

  4. Deb, I hear you about the pets! My dog has already tried to walk on my Ipad. The good thing is that you can buy these great cases for them so the screen is protected. You can also get some sort of "shield" that the store can put on for a fee that will also protect it. I didn't get the shield but may go back for it. My case arrives this week so I am being very careful until it arrives!

Would love to hear what you have to say!
