JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND

Okay, don't you just hate it when you take the time to watch an entire movie and you come to the end and you are waiting for that moment where it all makes sense and nothing. You don't understand the ending. You rewind and play the ending back again and still you don't get it. You think, am I missing something?

Well, I just sat through a moving film called Biutiful. It was great until the last two minutes. Didn't understand them. And to top it off they were also the first two minutes. You would think that the two hours in between would have explained it but no. Still had no idea why he was in the snowy wooded area and who he was talking to.

There was a Tom Cruise move that made me scratch my head few years ago. Could not figure out half of it. Can't remember if it was Vanilla Sky, Magnolia or Eyes Wide Shut. They were all a bit on the weird side. He should stick to Mission Impossible type movies.

If anyone can explain the ending to me, please help me out. I waited months to watch this movie and I am left hollow.

PT Update: doing pretty well. I go see the Dr. next Thursday to check out the pain in my calf. Walked the dogs today.

Until tomorrow...

GUM DISEASE

I read this article in Health magazine titled, Rheumatoid Arthritis Patients May Have Higher Risk for Gum Disease.  It talked about how people with RA have a higher rate of gum disease than people who don't have RA.  "A small study suggests that gum disease is four times more common among people with rheumatoid arthritis than healthy people, and it also appears to be more severe."

This brings up the point that those of us with RA should be careful to brush and floss our teeth everyday.  Good tooth care is very important.

Those of us with Sjogren's Disease need to be especially careful.  Since we have dry mouth and little to no saliva production, it makes for problems with tooth decay.  Saliva protects teeth against decay and from infection from bacteria, yeasts, and viruses.  Brushing teeth helps to protect against tooth decay.

It is important to ask your dentist how often to you need to be checked for early decay.  Also ask about specific instructions regarding your oral hygiene.

Brush those teeth!!

Welcome new blog followers!!!

COMPUTER SCARE

Today I was at a client and my wi-fi stopped working on my laptop. I panicked and drove right to the Geek Squad. That was useless. All they did was turn on the computer and the wi-fi turned on fine. The bored customer service person just looked at me and said there was nothing she could do.

Thanks for nothing.

Now I have to continue to use my wi-fi and see if it dies. Of course if it does, that means my computer gets sent away for two to three weeks. If it dies before the warranty runs out in October. Ergh...

It is working now so fingers crossed.

Until tomorrow...

APPOINTMENT MISSED

Okay, have you had this happen?  You look at the beginning of the week and you know you have a medical appointment on Wednesday morning.  Then on Tuesday morning you get a phone call saying you missed your appointment.  Now, you know you didn't make the appointment for Tuesday because you had another appointment for Tuesday morning. But the lady on the other side of the phone is insisting that you have an appointment for Tuesday morning that you just missed.

This has happened to me a few times.  Sometimes I am not so sure that it was me that made the mistake, but this time, I am sure it was not my mistake.  I had something scheduled on Tuesday so there is no way I would have scheduled another appointment on the same day.

Why does the medical office always assume that the patient made the mistake?  Isn't it possible that the office could have made the mistake?  They are human you know.  They just made it clear that the mistake had to be mine.  This time I made it clear that the mistake had to be theirs!  Okay, a little childish but it made me feel better.

Long story short, I have a new appointment on Friday and there is no cancellation fee to be paid!  Plus my calendar has opened for tomorrow morning!

My Enbrel finally arrived.  Just in time too.  I am starting a major flare.  Ugh!  Okay, it will be a good excuse to rest up this weekend. Catch a movie or two.

Until tomorrow...

TOUGH MORNING

This morning was a tough one.  I didn't get to give myself my Enbrel shot last night because my medicine is delayed.  Ergh...

I woke up this morning with such pain in my hands I could not stand it.  My hands were red and swollen.  I know I have been typing a lot and this weekend I swept the backyard and fixed two lights that were not working but I was shocked that my hands hurt so much.

It took until after 4 pm for my hands to loosen up.  They looked sunburned or on fire.  In fact they are starting to get sore right now.  I better stop typing and rest my poor babies.

Until tomorrow...

SHOPPING

Our local supermarket stopped carrying Brenda's favorite popcorn.  I understand for some people this would not be a big deal but Brenda eats popcorn every single day.  She is a popcorn-aholic.  She likes a certain type of popcorn.  It has to be Natural popcorn, no butter, no flavorings, no nothing.  Just salt but not sea salt or special salt.  Just regular salt.  Orville's carries natural popcorn and our local market carried their store brand Natural.  Unfortunately, the store stopped carrying the Natural flavor.  She tried the other flavors but we ended up having opened boxes of popcorn she hated.

Today I drove to another further away supermarket and found a store brand natural popcorn.  Brenda is going to try it and see if she likes it.  If she does we will have solved the Natural Popcorn problem!

I hate when I have a product that I like and have eaten or used and then it suddenly disappears.  Or I am using a drug and then suddenly they change or discontinue that drug.  Why do companies do that?  I guess it is about the almighty dollar.  It is just so frustrating.

Or when companies make things New and Improved and I liked it before it was improved!  I liked it the old way.  Who told them it was improved?  Cheaper, yes.  Better, no!

I will let you know how the popcorn turns out.
 ***********************************************************************************

I just have to say: have you seen the new Ragu commercials?  I love Ragu but those commercials are a little odd!   There are a whole series of them but here is the newest one.  Not sure what they have to do with eating spaghetti.

Until tomorrow...

VIRUS

Why do computer viruses exist? Who makes them? Does it matter? I guess it does really matter because once you get one, it is hard to get rid of them. I got a big warning last week that I got a Trojan infiltration. Warning! Warning! Will Robinson!

I followed all the necessary steps and ran the scan, then the "eraser", and the scan again. I put the virus in quarantine but still have two malware files I can't get rid of. Hopefully my brother will assist in this project tomorrow.

Do people really sit around and make these viruses? How bored do you have to be to make one of these? How malicious? Do you know that you will be making something that will potentially ruin people's lives? Couldn't you use your powers for good and not evil? Like curing cancer or an alternative to Windows?

Wish me luck tomorrow. Two little files to be deleted in the depths of my computer.

Until tomorrow...

PHONE CALL

I got a phone call from a friend I had not spoken to in awhile. We spent some time catching up. Except for my surgery and work I don't have a lot to talk about. I don't know if it is coincidence or not but this is the third friend who contacted me since my post about friends. My friend from San Diego is stopping by on Monday when she is in town.

I am so tired I am literally falling asleep typing. Time to go to bed.

LUPUS ARTICLE

Someone sent me an article, in the San Francisco Chronicle (Prescription for Obesity)  about a girl named Jena Graves who has Lupus.  She has had lupus since she was 12 years old.  The article talks about Jena being on large doses of Prednisone and her weight gain.  She gained 140 pounds on prednisone.  She spoke about standing in front of the refrigerator and eating everything inside.  She had gastric bypass.  It was horrible reading this article.  She is so young.

I felt for her.  I remember having the unquenchable hunger.  I still have nights where I go to bed hungry.  It isn't real hunger, I know it.  It is my brain saying I am hungry, not my stomach.  I have given my body plenty to eat but for some reason my brain is saying I need more.

The huge amounts of prednisone caused Jena to have broken bones, memory problems.  She has been on as many as 25 medications.

It is tough having autoimmune illnesses.  It is not just the illness but the medications, weight gain, depression and fatigue.  Doing it at 12 years old must be very difficult.

Until tomorrow...

NO ENBREL?

I realized I used my last dose of Enbrel on Sunday.  Today I called to order some more.  I was told I would not get any delivered until next Tuesday.  What?!  I have never had a problem getting Enbrel delivered in the same week if I ordered early in the week.  Is there some sort of shortage of Enbrel going on that I don't know about?  Is anyone else having a problem getting their Enbrel?  I don't keep too much Enbrel in the house because living on the West Coast I worry about power outages and it going bad.  I don't want to lose $1,700 worth of medication in a power outage if I am not at home to put it on ice.   I guess I will have to now!  My Sunday dose will become my Tuesday dose.

We got some surprising news this week.  My partner Brenda was diagnosed with glaucoma.  A week and a half ago Brenda got an eye infection and she went to the eye doctor.  While she was there the doctor noticed something wrong.  She asked us to come back for tests.  We went back last week and yesterday we got the results.  Brenda has the very beginnings of glaucoma. She has been given eye drops to start using.  We go back in 6 weeks.  Brenda is very lucky that she got that eye infection.  Chances are she would not have gone for an eye check up for about a year or so.  So the eye infection may have saved her vision from getting worse.  Amazing how something bad can turn into something good!

Glaucoma Statistics:
  • It is estimated that over 2.2 million Americans have glaucoma but only half of those know they have it.
  • In the U.S., more than 120,000 are blind from glaucoma, accounting for 9% to 12% of all cases of blindness.
  • Blindness from glaucoma is 6 to 8 times more common in African Americans than Caucasians.

PHONE CALL FROM A FRIEND

I got a phone call from a friend this morning.  My friend (I'll call her S) lives in the Netherlands now.  It was so great to hear from her.  I miss talking to her.  It is really hard when your friends move away.  I think how great it will be to visit them but then that reality never comes to pass.  I have a friend in Australia who keeps emailing me to come visit.  I am not sure I can get Brenda on a plane for that long of a trip.

S and I spoke for over 30 minutes.  I heard all about her new job and I told her all about my lousy week.  It is so great to talk to your close friend about your week!  It is so different than talking to your girlfriend or boyfriend.  I find that your partner tries to "fix it".  They don't like it when someone hurts you so they don't want to hear about your lousy week.  A close friend will just listen and laugh with you.

I also got a phone call from another friend I have not heard from in awhile.  I don't think she read my posts from this week, I think it was just a coincidence.  We have not met up in quite a while due to my ankle issues.

Here's to catching up with friends!

Until tomorrow...

CHERRY ON TOP

Today was the cherry on the top of my week.  This has been a rough week and  today was only worse. I had to give some bad news to someone only to find out she was at her rehearsal dinner! I didn't even know she was getting married.  She took the news well but I felt bad about the timing. She needed to hear the bad news but I certainly didn't want to ruin her wedding day.

I think about the times when people have done things that have ruined my big day. The hair dresser that ruined my hair-do on my grad school graduation. I had gone a week before for a trial run and my hair looked great.  I was very upset when the hair dresser messed up my do hours before I was going to walk down the aisle.  I know what it feels like to be disappointed on a big day. I just didn't feel pretty and kept fussing with my hair all night.

Until tomorrow...

TAKING IT

Some times it is hard to take it. No I am not talking about taking the pain. I am talking about taking it when people unload on me. In the past two days I have had four people "unload" on me for things that were not my error. I understand that in my work as a consultant it is part of my job to take it.  That doesn't mean it doesn't hurt my feelings a little when people yell at me about things that are not my fault or in my control. Yelling at me because the paperwork is not right and I didn't have anything to do with it.

I understand that I am diplomatic and will hear what people have to say which is why I am usually the person to take care of these situations. I take care of the difficult discussions. Usually these discussions roll off my back and I have a good attitude. But when I continually get criticized for things I had nothing to do with, I have a hard time keeping my upbeat attitude.

Tomorrow is another day and I will gather up my happy face and work from home!  That way I can take a break from the negative energy and get a new perspective.

Until tomorrow...

FRIENDS

I used to have friends.  I still have friends but most of them live far away.  I can no longer go out for tea and cookies with them.  I can no longer call them up and go to the movies with them.  Most days I think of them but it doesn't really bother me.  I am very busy and work an awful lot.  But then there are days like today when I really miss them.  Days when I need someone to talk to.  When I have a bad day at work or something good happens.  That is when I want to call a friend and talk to them.  An email doesn't always do it.

So how does a person who works constantly and has a chronic disease make new friends?  I don't really go out and the only people I meet are my clients.  It is hard to have clients as friends (a bit of a conflict.)  How does one find friends?  I used to find friends all the time.  I used to go out and work in a regular job.  I met people all the time.  I was in the public, taking public transportation, meeting people, not locked up in my home office and in my car by myself.  Going out instead of home blogging.  You get what I mean.

I am part of a book club but most of the members are neighbors I already know.  I am not much of a joiner.  You would never see me in a gym (I even made a gym in my garage so I didn't have to go to one!) or in a group.  I am by nature a bit of a loner.  I like solitary activities but I also like doing things with others like going to the movies with a group.

I need to reach out to my friends via email and reconnect with them even though they are far away.  Our friendship deserves it.

If you have any ideas, please join the conversation!

Until tomorrow...

WAR HORSE

Recently I saw a play titled War Horse. There is also a movie by the same name. But I am talking about the theater production here. It is a story about a boy who has a horse and the horse goes to fight in the war and how the horse comes back to him.  No it isn't a movie about a talking horse. Or some fantasy land where horses actually fight in wars. The horse was used as a mount back before the days of humvees and such.

The horses were constructed out of what looked like leather and it took three humans to manipulate them. These horses were more like life-sized horse puppets. It was all so cool. At times I forgot they were puppets and not real horses!

Of course there was singing and the horses danced. Once again, they danced they way real horses dance and play.  They did not dance a waltz or the marange.

The play was 2.5 hours long but never once seemed that long. The story was so entertaining that it kept my attention. It also had just enough humor to keep me chuckling.

Overall, it was a solid 4 out of 5.  Well worth the price of the ticket.

PHYSICAL THERAPY

This weekend I think I did too much.  Friday I had physical therapy (PT) and then walked my dogs around my double block.  Then Saturday I did some yard work and set the rat traps.  Sunday I went food shopping and cooked dinner (a lovely mushroom sauce with gnocchi).

Today I went to PT and could barely move.  My ankle hurt walking the block to PT.  The physical therapist had me do some stuff but spent a good bit of time rubbing my scar.  After PT I guess I felt better.  I went home and sat all day at my desk and walked the dogs at dinner time.  I don't have another PT appointment for almost two weeks.  It is up to me to do the exercises.

I also got my results from the tests done last week.  My creatinine went from 1.2 to 1.1.  But some other stuff has gone crazy.  The life of a Crohn's patient!  I am going to get tested again in a month and see what happens then.  If it is still high I will get some sort of kidney test.

Until tomorrow...

RATS 0, ME 2

I have been having a rat problem in my backyard.  Our whole neighborhood has been having this problem.  We think it is because the city is digging up the streets to fix gas lines.  I set a bunch of traps a couple of times and caught one rat.

Last night I set 30 traps and caught another rat.  Yay!  I figure at this rate I will rectify this problem in 6 months.  I have the traps set again tonight.  Last night a rat ate the peanut butter off about half the traps.  They are slick little critters.

I will see what happens tomorrow morning.  Wish me luck!

Until tomorrow...

PREJUDICE

What makes people prejudice?  More importantly what makes people voice those feelings of prejudice?  You will be talking to someone and suddenly they will say something that just makes you shake your head.  Sometimes it happens and you don't even have time to react.  You are just so shocked.

Just sitting there eating and bam, a comment is made and people at neighboring tables glance over.  You are then put in a position to have to say something so you are not seen to approve of the comment.  Of course you would always say something but maybe you would not be so adamant as you are in this situation with strangers listening in.

Do others think you agree with them when they make disparaging comments about another race or culture?  Do they not hear you when you tell them that those comments are not okay to say?  Do they think you are kidding when you tell them they are being rude?

I also think it is interesting when a person is in a group that has been historically oppressed and they then make racist comments about another group.  What is up with that?  Do they not have compassion?  Can they not see that by making these comments they are keeping another group oppressed?

It just always makes me think of a famous statement attributed to pastor Martin Niemöller about the inactivity of German intellectuals following the Nazi rise to power and the purging of their chosen targets, group after group.  I learned it back in 1993 at the March on Washington for Gay, Lesbian, Bi-sexual and Transgender Rights:
First they came for the communists,
    and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist.

Then they came for the Socialists
and I did not speak out because I was not a Socialist

Then they came for the trade unionists,
    and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews,
    and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Jew.

Then they came for the homosexuals,
    and I didn't speak out because I wasn't homosexual.

    Then they came for me,
and there was no one left to speak out for me.

Maybe I will never get it.  Maybe I will never understand.  Maybe I just have to keep standing up and be the person who tells them those comments are not okay.

Until tomorrow...

EXERCISE

Today I walked the dogs. Now that might not seem like a big deal to you. Months ago I would have agreed but since my surgery I have been forbidden to walk them. This week the physical therapist said "walk the dogs" do today I did. I was going to yesterday but Lucky got so excited so jumped up in the air, fell on her head and got all grumpy and went after happy, teeth a blazin. I had to break them up and after that no one deserved anything but me!

Today we were so excited to walk we could barely contain ourselves. It was a good walk and my ankle is okay so far!

Bourne Legacy

Just saw a pre showing of Bourne Legacy. It was good. It has a complicated story line. There is a great chase scene that I won't ruin for you. I heard some places gave it a low rating. I would say it is average.

WATCHING THE OLYMPICS

Have you been watching the Olympics?  I have.  Not in an obsessive way but in a fan-type of way.  There are some sports I like and some I can do without.  I like the fencing, synchronized diving, gymnastics, shooting, and archery.  I wanted to see judo and taekwondo but that was never shown on TV when I watched.  I am not a huge fan of the sports that show all the time like basketball, soccer, volleyball.   I was excited that NBC had the Ipad app but I rarely ever used it after the first weekend.  I did use the Team USA app to get ready for the Olympics.

I am just so impressed with the athletes.  Most of them are happy when someone wins a medal even if the person is not from their country.  I don't see bad attitudes when folks lose.  Well, I saw one in the girls gymnastics.  But what can I say...

I am always so excited for the Olympics when it starts and so happy when it is over.  It is so intensive for two weeks, I am exhausted.  About this time I can't wait for it to end.  I feel disappointed that I didn't get to see the sports I wanted to see and I am ready to get back to watching regular TV or a movie without feeling like I might miss some spectacular moment in sports.

I can't believe I am watching the USA playing the USA for the gold medal in women's beach volleyball. Seems kinda wrong in some way.  Does it matter who wins in some way?  The USA will win gold and silver.  Done.

Have you been watching the Olympics?  What is your favorite sport?  Favorite athlete?  Favorite moment?

Health Update: I got a call from my RA Doc to tell me my creatinine is high.  From the MayoClinic:
A creatinine test reveals important information about your kidneys.
Creatinine is a chemical waste product that's produced by your muscle metabolism and to a smaller extent by eating meat. Healthy kidneys filter creatinine and other waste products from your blood. The filtered waste products leave your body in your urine.
If your kidneys aren't functioning properly, an increased level of creatinine may accumulate in your blood. A serum creatinine test measures the level of creatinine and gives you an estimate of how well your kidneys filter waste (glomerular filtration rate). A creatinine urine test can measure creatinine in your urine.
Friday I go for another blood test and a urine test to make sure everything is fine.  My creatinine was high in May too.  I am sure it is nothing.

CROHN'S AND THE OLYMPICS?

I have Crohn's disease.  There I said it.  No one wants to hear it.  Either people don't know what it is or they know what it is and they don't want to talk about it.  Who wants to talk about gas, diarrhea, and bowel issues?  No one, I assure you.

Then this week there was this timely article about the Olympics and Crohns Disease.  I know I thought the same thing: what could they have in common?  There is a kayaker named Carrie Johnson who was diagnosed with Crohn's while training for the Athens Olympic Games.  She had horrible fatigue, severe weight loss and anemia.  Not the things a person training for the Olympics needs.  She was put on the right medical plan and finished 10th in her race.

Of course when Carrie first heard Crohn's she went to the internet (what do doctor's tell you not to do?) and read everything she could find.  All the worse case scenarios!  Surgery, short life span.  Crohn's can be caught early and with the new drugs those worse case scenarios do not have to happen.

I remember when I thought I had Crohn's and I was so scared.  I had never heard of it. Then the doctor told me I had it.  I didn't want it.  Could I give it back?  I am sitting here right now with a stomach ache not being able to eat anything but some white rice and sprite.  I don't know how she gets in a kayak and competes.

Carrie is competing at the London Olympics in the kayaking single flatwater K-1 500m and K-1 200m. She has been eliminated from the K-1 500m in the semi-finals but still has a chance in the K1-200m.  I wish her the best Friday when she races!

It takes so much courage to speak out about Crohn's disease.  I appreciate Carrie Johnson for being a champion for Crohn's disease.

Have you been watching the Olympics?  What is your favorite sport?  Who is your favorite athlete?

Until tomorrow...

Remembering Birthdays

Each month I look at my calendar and see the birthdays that occur that month.  I put the information in the back of my mind.  I try to remember to buy and send a card or send an email to each person on the list.  Most times I remember but sometimes I forget.

This month I forgot my good friend Elisa's birthday.  I thought about her birthday each day this month but two days before and on the day, it completely slipped my mind to mail the card and to send the email.  I don't know what it is.  Why I forget to send the greeting. Now I find myself writing about birthday greetings in this blog.

Do you still send greeting cards?  I love getting cards in the mail.  I love opening a card especially when it is a funny card.  I have a friend who always sends the best funny cards.  I shop for cards for him all year long to find the perfect card for his birthday.  I want him to fall on the floor laughing.

Happy Birthday Elisa!

On a sad note, I am sending my thoughts out to the families and friends of those injured, killed and the survivors in Oak Creek, Wisconsin where the horrible tragedy occurred this weekend at the Sikh gurdwara.  As John Lennon sang, "give peace a chance."

Until tomorrow...

JUST A FUN BLOGGER CHALLENGE WRAP-UP

JUST A FUN BLOGGER CHALLENGE WRAP-UP

This is the  Just a Fun Blogger Challenge Wrap-up.  It has been really fun doing this challenge because I had a topic to write about every day.

What did I like?  I liked that the topics were interesting and didn't take a bunch of time to think about.  The some of the topics were a fun way to think back on my life.

What was my favorite topic?  Well the pizza topic made me hungry and pine for NY pizza.  The best memory from college made me think of a great concert I went to (The Tubes).

What was my least favorite topic? Favorite flower. I didn't have a favorite flower so that was hard.

Would I do it again?  YES!  I loved having people write in questions and topics.  That was what made the challenge so much fun and so interesting.  So thank you for the great questions!

Challenge Complete!

JUST A FUN BLOGGER CHALLENGE - Day 35

Winter or Summer - reasons for /against

Summer: I love the summer. When the winter doldrums end and the sun comes out, I am the happiest person!  Like a butterfly coming out of the cocoon.  I spark up and get happy.  I love being in the sun but having some lupus symptoms means I have to be careful.  If I spend too much time in the sun, I don't feel well.  Summertime means I get to put the top down on my car and turn the music up.

But then wintertime is when Christmas occurs.  Christmas is a magical time.  The beautiful snow scenes, the ice skaters and the horse drawn carriages. These are images that make us think of  the holidays. Over the hills to grandmothers house we go.

Summertime wins! I don't have to shovel snow in the summertime!

Tomorrow: Challenge Wrap-up!

Until tomorrow...

JUST A FUN BLOGGER CHALLENGE - Day 34

Favourite game or puzzle

My favorite type of game is a word game. I like Word Search games. Boring I know. My partner does not like board games so even though we have a ton of them, we never play them. So I end up playing games by myself. Word Search type games.

I also like Wii although I hardly ever get time to play it. I am pretty good at bowling. It is funny that today at physical therapy I was pretty good at balancing on one foot. I attribute that to Wii fitness. You have to do a fitness test and one of the tests is balancing on one foot.

Do you have a favorite game? Something I should try?

Just wanted to give a fireplace update: we had a chimney sweep (do they still call themselves chimney sweeps?) come and clean out our chimney. He found "an impressive size birds nest" in the chimney. No bird; dead or alive. He said the cap on the chimney is not the right kind to keep out birds. For $295 he will replace it. I will think about it. We don't use it that often and in four years this is the first time a bird got in.

Tomorrow's Challenge: Winter or Summer - reasons for /against

Medical Update:
Went to my first physical therapy appointment today. The therapist is nice. I went in thinking I would got to one or two appointments then blow it off. I am walking better and it is feeling better. Then she started assessing my ankle. I realized I still had a way to go. Tonight my ankle is a bit sore. I have a list of exercises to do several times a day. Plus I get to start riding my incumbent bike again! Hopefully I can start losing this weight!

Until tomorrow...

JUST A FUN BLOGGER CHALLENGE - Day 33

Funniest website/clip

Other than my own dog videos, I don't really surf the web looking for funny videos. It just isn't my thing.  Sometimes Good Morning America has some funny videos on in the morning.  I looked for a funny dog video and found this one. This dog is pretty funny.

Sometimes I talk like this for my dogs. I give them little accents. Especially the little one. I give her a French accent. I call her Madame Poo Poo or Missy PooPoo.  Sometimes they have British accents. I crack Brenda up.

I ponder things as if the dogs are thinking. "when are they going to feed me?  I am so very hungry.  Did they forget about me? Those selfish two-legged creatures."

Do you have a favorite video or website?

Tomorrow's Challenge: Favourite game or puzzle

Until tomorrow...

JUST A FUN BLOGGER CHALLENGE - Day 32

Best cartoon character

Some folks probably say Snoopy, Woodstock, Charlie Brown or Lucy.  Or maybe you are into Superman, Wonder Woman or Batman.  Maybe you are younger and like the Nickelodeon group like Rugrats or Dora the Explorer.  Maybe you like Tweety Bird and Sylvester or Tom and Jerry.

I am a purist.  I like the old school cartoons back from the black and white days.  Back when his name was Mortimer Mouse.  Can you guess it?  He debuted in November 1928 in a short film titled "Steamboat Willie".  By now you know I am talking about the one and only Mickey Mouse! Like they say Mickey isn't just a cartoon character, he is an icon!

My second favorite is Mr. Magoo. Do you remember him?  He could not see and kept walking around anyway!  He would always get into everything.  He was funny.

Until tomorrow...
